As part of the Business School at the University of
Colorado Denver, the graduate Entrepreneurship program offers more than 14
AACSB International accredited courses that are open to both degree and
non-degree seeking students. The Bard Center takes entrepreneurship from the
classroom to the real world and provides hands-on learning opportunities. Additionally,
you have opportunities to participate in a number of Bard
Center programs; including the annual
business plan competition, internships in area businesses, speaker programs
with local entrepreneurs, and connection with new
ventures.
The Bard Center's entrepreneurship curriculum
incorporates instruction, mentoring, and support from outstanding Business
School faculty, as well as from great business leaders with expertise in new
business development. Bard Center courses explore legal issues, cutting-edge
social entrepreneurship, new venture design, finance structuring, strategic web
development, leadership, marketing and personal branding, new product
development and business plan creation. Students learn from case studies,
classroom instruction, and guest lectures featuring successful entrepreneurs
with relative stories from which to learn.
The entrepreneurial curriculum provides valuable instruction and guidance in the following areas:

- Creating business plans
- Designing and managing new ventures
- Developing social sector initiatives
- Exploring opportunities in real estate
- Structuring finances
- Implementing marketing and strategic-planning initiatives
