Overview

This course is designed to help students learn about best practices in corporate entrepreneurship & innovation. Innovation is not just about technology and products. Leading companies are creating competitive advantage by innovating in areas previously considered outside the scope of conventional innovation.  For example, innovations in core processes (Toyota – just-in-time inventory) & organization structure (Manpower – temporary staffing) or the creation of leverage in partnerships and networks (McDonald’s – franchising) have created billions of dollars in shareholder wealth.

This course will cover a comprehensive model to systematically identify opportunities for innovation, using case studies to illustrate the potential. Finally, the course includes a capstone project that pulls together the entire innovation process into a practical exercise.  This course is offered online.
