From June 26 through December 24, 2013, the J.P. Morgan Center for Commodities at the University of Colorado Denver Business School will be hosting a traveling exhibition, Our Global Kitchen: Food, Nature, Culture. In this specialized exhibit, visitors will see selections from the exhibition developed by the American Museum of Natural History in New York, as well as a unique vertical garden installation from Windowfarms. The exhibit will be on display on the first floor of the business school and feature several large-scale panels, a video, an interactive touch point and the window garden. The exhibit is open to the public.
The official premiere of the exhibit will be Wednesday, June 25, in conjunction with the Global Cities Initiative (GCI), co-sponsored by Brookings and JPMorgan Chase. This five-year project, which launched in 2012, conducts forums in five cities this year including Denver, CO. The J.P. Morgan Center for Commodities will host several of the GCI’s day one activities: a roundtable, a cocktail hour, and a private dinner; the Our Global Kitchen exhibit will be open to the event guests this evening. Guests will include Mayor Hancock, Chancellor Elliman, Former Chicago Mayor Daley and prominent members of the Denver business community.
