Bruce Blankenship has been involved in bioethics and healthcare ethics for over ten years. He is an independent business consultant who specializes in advising start-up companies in the high tech sector, including companies in the healthcare industry. He is a partner in Clinical Ethics Consultancy LLC, a company which provides training, consultation, and continuing education to hospital ethics committees and healthcare institutions. He currently serves on the clinical ethics committees of two area hospitals and is an experienced ethics consultant. He is also a facilitator for the Interprofessional Ethics in the Health Professions course at University of Colorado, and is a long-time member of the Colorado Healthcare Ethics Forum (CHEF). Bruce has chaired and participated in community forums on healthcare issues. He has a special interest in the ethical, legal and social issues surrounding advances in genomics and has given presentations to hospital clinical ethics committees and community groups on this topic. He has been very active in the Boulder non-profit community and has served as a board member and officer for a number of community service organizations.
