U.S. Department of Education Recognizes SEHD Autism Research

August 3, 2012 —

Phil Strain, PhD and Ted Bovey, researchers with CU Denver’s School of Education & Human Development, have been recognized by the U.S. Department of Education’s Institute of Education Studies in a What Works Clearinghouse review/report.

The review highlights their work to develop the LEAP training and support model to improve outcomes of preschool children with autism.

Work in autism by Strain and colleague Ted Bovey also was recognized earlier this year as “significant progress” by the Interagency Autism Coordinating Council, a congressionally-created entity to advance autism research across federal agencies.
