Thank you for your interest in CU Denver's undergraduate programs! As a potential transfer student, we will work with you to help make your transition as smooth as possible. We encourage you to meet with a program advisor as soon as possible to best support you in transferring. Bring an unofficial transcript with you and you will receive a preliminary evaluation of your transfer credits.
Submit an application for Transfer Admissions to CU Denver's Admissions Office, along with a $50 non-refundable application fee. Minimum Grade Point Averages (GPA) are as follows:
BS in Human Development and Family Relations and BA in Education and Human Development: Early Childhood Education Non-Licensure: minimum 2.4 cumulative GPA is required; however, applicants with a 2.0 cumulative GPA are considered for admission.
BA in Education and Human Development Licensure* - Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, and Special Education: requires a 2.4 GPA for admission.
NOTE: The Professional Year, a year-long residency in the student’s final year of the undergraduate degree program, requires a separate application. Students apply for Professional Year admission a semester prior to the start of their senior year and acceptance into the Professional Year is not guaranteed. For instructions and minimum requirements, please see the SEHD website.
Students who already hold a BA/BS degree and are interested in teacher licensure should contact the SEHD for information on graduate teacher licensure options at 303-315-6300 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
