Thank you for your interest in pursuing the Executive Leadership Program with administrator license at the University of Colorado Denver School of Education & Human Development. This program has a rolling admissions deadline. Please apply prior to registering for your first course.
Please download, print, and follow the materials below. We require that you submit all application materials in a single manila envelope to the School of Education & Human Development. Applicants must have already completed a master’s degree or the equivalent.

Check or money order made out to the University of Colorado Denver.
It is preferred that your resume lists a minimum of 5 years leadership experience in the field of education.
- Written statement
See guidelines. Describe your interest in the program, your special strengths, and the goals you hope to achieve through your work in the program.
- One letter of recommendation
Provide a recommendation from a superintendent or a district superior, indicating support for your pursuit of the program and clinical work in the district. The recommendation form and letter itself should be returned to you in an original, unopened envelope to include in your complete application packet.
- Two official transcripts from previous colleges/universities attended
A master’s degree or the equivalent is required with at least a 3.0 GPA. A minimum undergraduate GPA of at least a 2.75 is also required. Please submit transcripts from (a) institutions granting previous degrees and (b) institutions from which courses have been taken that you wish to transfer into the program. Transcripts are to be issued to you and should be submitted together in the original, unopened envelope with your application packet.
Priority Application deadlines:
October 15 for spring semester
May 15 for fall semester
Leadership courses are not offered in the summers. Therefore,
applications are reviewed for fall and spring admission only.
