Please download, print, and follow the materials below. We require that you submit all application materials in a single manila envelope to the School of Education & Human Development, Attention: Admissions - SPSY, 1380 Lawrence Street, 7th Floor, Campus Box 106, P.O. Box 173364, Denver, CO 80217. Please postmark your application by the deadline.

  • In-state Tuition Classification Form
  • $50 application fee

    Check or money order made out to the University of Colorado Denver.

  • Current resume or curriculum vita

    Applicants must have and show evidence of relevant professional and/or academic experience.

  • Written statement

  • Three letters of recommendation

    Provide each recommender with a recommendation form found in the application packet. The forms and letters should be returned to you in original, unopened envelopes to include in your complete application packet. It is advised that at least two of your letters be written by former professors. If that is not possible, letters should be from present or former supervisors. Recommendations should not be more than two years old.

  • Two official transcripts from every previous college/university attended

    Transcripts should be issued to you and submitted together in the original, unopened envelopes with the complete application packet. If you have not completed a bachelor's degree, submit official documentation showing your expected graduation date. If your school will not issue official transcripts directly to you, contact the Student Services Center.

  • Official Graduate Record Exam (GRE)

    GRE scores are required for this program unless you already hold a doctoral degree. If you are taking the GRE, the code number for UC Denver is 4875. The scores will be sent electronically to UC Denver.

  • Signed Oath and Consent Form
  • Fingerprint Affadavit
  • General GRE and MAT scores

    Verbal and quantitative scores are required with a recommended combined minimum of 1000 on the GRE.

    Note: Upon successful completion and review of your file, highly-qualified applicants are invited to attend a half-day interview on the Denver campus .
