Scholarships for Early Childhood Education Students

Early Childhood Education Scholarship Fund

Up to $10K awarded to two recipients per academic year. Funds contingent on donor making gift annually. 

Scholarship criteria: You must be enrolled in an Early Childhood Education program at the School of Education & Human Development at CU Denver. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and be eligible to receive federal aid (FAFSA required). Preference will be given to applicants who show intent to set up, initiate or model developmentally appropriate practice in mainstream early childhood education. A one page essay is required. The essay must explain why you enrolled in the ECE program and what you plan to do upon graduation. You have the option of including a recommendation from a professor associated with the program.

Daniels Boundless Opportunities Scholarship

Up to $2000 awarded per academic year. 

Scholarship criteria: You must be pursuing ECE certification. Scholarships will be based on your demonstrated need for financial aid (FAFSA required). 

William Goodwin Scholarship, in memory of William L. Goodwin

Up to $500 awarded each semester. 

This fund was created in memory of William L. Goodwin, a former SEHD professor.

Scholarship criteria: You must be enrolled in either the Early Childhood Education program or the Educational Psychology. Applicants must have successfully completed at least six credit hours of coursework in the program, with a GPA of at least 3.0. Please submit a letter of recommendation from a faculty member in your program with your application.
