Laurie Bond Memorial Scholarship
$1,000 awarded to 1 recipient each Spring semester
Scholarship criteria: Enrolled in the Counseling program at the School of Education & Human Development at CU Denver. Scholarships will be based on academic standing, commitment to a career in counseling and a theoretical approach to counseling. Individuals seeking the award will be selected by a three-member committee composed of the Chairperson of the Counseling degree program, a faculty member of the department and a student-counselor in training. Individual demonstrates the qualities and characteristics of Laurie Bond. Laurie Bond was a woman of great compassion, enthusiasm and optimism. She had an exceptional wit and a deep love for all those who were a part of her life. Laurie's passion was to ease the suffering of others by guiding them toward an understanding of their true identities and by helping them realize their full potential as human beings. And Laurie was quick to recognize the personal difficulties that prevent us from living full and meaningful lives.
