EdS, School Psychology

Are you interested in successfully addressing the growing social-emotional and mental health needs of children and families within a school setting? In this rigorous School Psychology program, you'll learn from nationally-recognized faculty in an environment that stresses collaborative problem-solving and respect for individual differences.

This program is designed to position you for success. You will learn how to: thrive in multicultural settings; collaborate and communicate effectively with parents, educators, and community leaders; provide screenings and diagnostic assessments to assist in the program planning of children with learning, mental health, or behavioral needs; provide direct mental health services that address needs at home and school to help students succeed academically, emotionally, and socially; and advocate for children and families through the application of legal, ethical, and professional standards for practice.

Over half of practicing Denver Metro area school psychologists have graduated from this program. And, there are reasons for this. People know that the program provides comprehensive training for a career in school psychology. People also say that they choose this program because of cost, location, and the community-focused faculty, as well as the opportunity to engage in meaningful practicum and internship experiences in Denver Metro Area schools.
