Partner
Are you working in an organization that develops and markets professional development courses or events? Do you want to partner with the University of Colorado Denver (UCD) to offer credit to interested participants? Do you want to partner with UCD to offer professional courses in your district?
Continuing and Professional Education (CPE) expands the options available to professional educators, and connects the academic program and professional development arms of the School of Education & Human Development. More and more, districts are moving towards best practice in professional development—embedding professional development in the daily practice of schools, through weekly staff development times, team level shared planning time, professional learning communities, and ongoing coaching supports. This type of professional development has the potential to have a powerful impact on the work of teachers and schools.
CPE offers a wide range of courses and programs for working teachers and other education professionals, as well as for adults preparing for careers in education or mental health. Some courses are developed in cooperation with school districts and community agencies to meet the specific education and training needs of partner organizations. Other courses articulate with SEHD's regular master's programs; entire master's degree and endorsement programs are also available. Most courses are off-campus in locations selected for their convenience to students.
