The Buechner Institute for Governance is the applied research arm of the School of Public Affairs. It serves to inform policy development through research and evaluation.
Through the Buechner Institute, the School of Public Affairs provides consultation to governments and nonprofits, allowing our faculty and students to reach outside of the classroom and make real impacts on communities and the world.
The Buechner Institute houses a number of research centers and leadership development programs. Click on the links in the left-hand navigation to learn more about our research centers, technical assistance offerings, and leadership development programs.
The School of Public Affairs and the Buechner Institute host more than 100 events each year featuring distinguished practitioners, community leaders and politicians. The Buechner Breakfast First Friday, hosted by the Buechner Institute, is the School's signature monthly event.
