The School of Public Affairs hosts more than 100 events each year featuring distinguished practitioners, community leaders and politicians.
The Buechner Breakfast First Friday is our signature monthly event and is hosted by the Buechner Institute for Governance, the School's applied research arm. Buechner Breakfasts take place from 7:30-9 a.m. on the first Friday of each month. Planned breakfasts for Spring 2016 include:
- Jan. 8: K12 Education Standards, Common Core, Testing and Accountability
- Feb. 5: Colorado Water Plan
- March 4: Malcolm Baldrige Awards -- Quality in Local Government
- April 1: I-70 Corridor Development
SPA also hosts the monthly Education Policy Networking Series. The series is a forum for both emerging policy-savvy teachers and analysts, as well as education policy leaders. These events take place on the second or third Wednesday of each month from 4:30-6 p.m. The series is co-sponsored by the School of Public Affairs and the School of Education and Human Development.
