Hope earned a BS in Chemistry from the Metropolitan State College of Denver and a MPA with an emphasis in Environmental Management, Policy and Law from the University of Colorado at Denver. She is also a Registered Environmental Manager through the National Registry of Environmental Professionals.
She's worked in quality control in the pharmaceutical industry, in research with the United States Geological Survey, at the local level as a Chemist for the City of Golden, and in public health in her current position as a Governmental Policy Analyst at Metro Wastewater Reclamation District. She has experience in energy research, wetland monitoring, drinking water regulations, sanitary surveys, and water quality monitoring, and in technical advisory groups working with clean water regulations.
In her current position, she answers questions from the public regarding public and private water systems, promotes watershed protection, and reviews technical plans for drinking water entities and land use entities.
