Interest: Environmental Education


While Emily is earning her MPA with a concentration in Environmental Policy, Management and Law, she is working part time as a Graduate Research assistant focusing mostly on public education, employment and housing at the Buechner Institute of Governance at SPA. She also is interning at at the Colorado Alliance for Environmental Education in Golden, CO where she is putting energy into growing first ever nationally recognized Environmental Education Certification.

Emily has decided to do the thesis option as part of the graduation requirements and she it working with Dr. Paul Stretesky, SPA's green criminology expert.  Still narrowing down her research topic, she plans to incorporate environmental education in one way or another.

Emily earned a M.S. in Geology from Kansas State University in 2010 and a B.A. in Environmental Studies and Environmental Economics from Knox College in Galesburg, IL.
