Pawinee Chuayprakong is a first-year PhD student at School of Public Affairs, University of Colorado Denver. She earned her Bachelor of Arts (Political Science) and Master of Public Administration from Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok in 2004 and 2008 respectively. Also, with Japanese Government Scholarship (MEXT), she got Master of Public Policy from National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), Tokyo, Japan in 2007. She started her academic career as a lecturer in Chiang Mai University, Chiang Mai Thailand in early 2009. In the middle of 2010, she won the Royal Thai Government Scholarship to pursue her PhD in Public Administration with Local Government Administration concentration. After accepted by School of Public Affairs, University of Colorado Denver in March 2011, she quit from job and started her PhD program in September 2011 (the spring semester of 2011). Bound by the scholarship, after finishing her PhD program, she must come back to her country and serve as a lecturer in National Institute for Development Administration (NIDA), Bangkok.
