Bio: Buck has her JD and MPA degrees from Syracuse University College of Law and Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, respectively.  Her career path from public lawyer to public policy researcher has resulted in three decades of experience in strategic planning and facilitation, program design, assessment and evaluation, research and analysis, philanthropic efforts, and capacity building, all related to systems impacting children, families, and communities.  At the Buechner Institute for Governance, her expertise is in addressing the “big picture” of systems integration of composite policy issues, e.g., preK-16 education, health, economic self-sufficiency, budget and tax policy, housing/homeless, school readiness, evaluation of advocacy.  Currently, she is working on the third edition of a Colorado Children’s Budget and strategic planning for a major Colorado foundation.  She has authored over fifteen reference works widely used by Colorado nonprofits serving children and families.
