Bruce A. Eisenhauer was appointed to serve as Deputy Executive Director of the Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) in October 2007. Besides his responsibilities of Deputy Executive Deputy Director at DOLA, Eisenhauer is the Legislative Liaison (lobbyist), and Chief of Operations where he oversees the internal service operations of the Department.
Prior to working for the State, Eisenhauer worked primarily in local government throughout his professional career. He served as Interim City Manager for Laramie, WY, City Manager for Evans, CO, City Administrator for Waconia, MN and Community Development Director for St. Peter, MN.
Eisenhauer has been committed to improving local government operations throughout his career. This has been demonstrated through collaborative efforts such as the first ever joint community recreation/middle school facility in Minnesota and the spinoff of a community-owned hospital to its own 501(c)(3). He has a desire for life-long learning which is demonstrated in part by completion of the Rocky Mountain Leadership Program to recently receiving a certification in LEAN Management principles from Denver Health during the summer of 2011.
Eisenhauer, a native of Iowa, moved to Colorado in 2000. He is a graduate of Mankato State University (Mankato, MN) where he received a B.S. and M.B.A. in business administration.
