In September 2008 the Center on Domestic Violence was awarded $500,000 over three years by the U.S. Department of Justice to provide victim services and prevention programs on the Auraria Campus, the largest school campus in Colorado. These programs will address:
- Domestic violence
- Dating violence
- Sexual assault
- Stalking
Funds will also be used to:
- Provide victims services for students, faculty and staff
- Provide prevention, education and training services to the campus community
- Increase the ability of law enforcement to apprehend and prosecute offenders
