Campus partners from all
three schools on the Auraria Campus are coming
together to host the eighth annual Love,
Sex, Lies: An Intimacy Checkup event on October 15 & 16, 2014 from 10 am to 2
pm. The annual event screens students, faculty and staff for signs of healthy
and unhealthy relationships, and provides vital resources to those in need. The
event will take place in the Tivoli Turnhalle auditorium.
Participants complete an anonymous survey on the dynamics of their current or
most recent relationship, and have an opportunity to privately discuss their
results with a counselor/advocate. Staff from community-based domestic and
sexual violence service organizations, as well as campus counseling programs, are
on hand to provide outreach and resources. In cases where an individual is in
an immediate crisis, in-depth support and services is available.
The goal of Love, Sex, Lies is to provide information
and assistance to individuals who may not typically seek help for relationship
abuse. The event has occurred annually on the campus since 2006, reaching more
than 7,000 students, faculty and staff over the years.
If you would like to volunteer as
