Degree Seeking Students should send all application materials, including: the application fee of $50.00 ($60.00 for Colorado Springs applicants and $75.00 for International applicants), University of Colorado Application Parts I and II, letters of recommendation, resume, transcripts and test scores directly to:

Two sets of official transcripts must be sent directly to the School of Public Affairs from all colleges and universities attended. (Transcripts issued to prospective students themselves cannot be accepted unless they are in an official and sealed envelope.)
Likewise, exam scores must be forwarded directly to SPA. MPA & MCJ applicants are required to take the Aptitude Test of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or an equivalent such as the GMAT or the LSAT within the last five years. (Note: MPA and MCJ applicants are eligible to waive the GRE if 1) The applicant has a 3.0 or higher undergraduate GPA and 10 or more years of professional experience post bachelor's degree 2) the applicant has earned a graduate degree from another accredited university or college.)
All applicants to the Ph.D. program are required to submit GRE scores and submit all of the credentials mentioned above. Additionally, they must submit a 500-1000 word statement of educational and career goals.
Applicants who have not taken any of these examinations are advised to make arrangements to do so.
Applicants taking an examination should specify a graduate major at the University of Colorado in public administration (Graduate School Department Code Number 4801 for Item 11 on the Application Form; Institution Code for Denver is R4875, for Colorado Springs it is R4874) or criminal justice (Graduate School Department Code Number 2202 for Item 11 on the Application Form; Institution Code R4875).
