Anita Davis




 

 BIOGRAPHY

 

Anita Davis is an experienced economic and community developer whose goal is to improve the viability of communities and small businesses, particularly in urban areas.  Ms. Davis holds a Master of Public Administration Degree from the University of Missouri Kansas City with expertise in housing and real estate development, community engagement, small business programs, and urban economic development.  Her background includes work in public, private, and not-for-profit industries.

Currently, Ms. Davis is an IGERT PhD student in the School of Public Affairs at the University of Colorado Denver.   She plans to use her research and analytical skills to enhance the quality of community development programs.

 

 RESEARCH

 

Anita's dissertation research focuses on the use of social networks to diffuse sustainable technology.  Her research will focus on a Denver neighborhood and will examine how energy information is communicated through social networks and how people are influenced to adopt energy conservation technology.
