Occupational Health & Energy Summit

Addressing Workplace Health Research & Policy Needs


The Occupational Health & Energy Summit held annually brings together national and international thought leaders to address workplace health research and policy needs in the energy industries.  The aim is to share lessons learned, identify gaps in the research and provide support to build evidence for better occupational health and safety practices.  

A publication of the 1st annual conference proceedings is planned for publication in the American Journal of Industrial Medicine.

2012 Energy Summit

The Mountain & Plains 2nd annual Occupational Health & Energy Summit will be held April 12th, 2012.  This year's conference will bring leading academics and researchers together to discuss worker health and policy needs in the Natural Gas Industry.

2011 Energy Summit

The Mountain & Plains ERC 1st annual Energy Summit was held in Denver, CO April 13-15, 2011 and addressed the occupational health and safety issues of the rapidly expanding Renewable Energy Industries. Speakers included, Steven Sumner (Duke), George Conway (NIOSH), Christine Branche (NIOSH), Michelle Myers (AWEA), Walter Jones (LHSFNA) and more.
