Roadmap for Collaborative and Effective Evaluation in Tribal Communities


In 2012, the Tribal Early Childhood Research Center was part of a workgroup of national experts convened by the Children’s Bureau.  The Workgroup was charged with developing an approach for improving the quality of evaluation in Tribal communities. Based on their shared vision for best practices in evaluation and research with American Indian and Alaska Native communities, the Workgroup developed a “roadmap” for culturally and scientifically rigorous evaluation. The Roadmap for Collaborative and Effective Evaluation in Tribal Communities was released by the Children’s Bureau in 2014, as part of its Child Welfare Evaluation Virtual Summit Series.  To download the publication, click here:
