Dr. Deen is currently a Fellow in Pediatric Cardiology at the University of Washington/Seattle’s Children’s Hospital. In 1996 Dr. Deen earned his B.S. in Biology from George Washington University, and in 2006 his M.D. in Medicine from the University of Minnesota Medical School. Dr. Deen is an American Indian (Blackfeet) pediatric cardiologist and has medical training in both the pediatric and adult spectrum
of cardiac disease. Thus Dr. Deen is uniquely qualified to study atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, which has its etiologic origin in the pediatric age group with phenotypic disease emerging in adulthood. He believes that refined cardiovascular risk prediction will lead to salient treatment options.
