This project is funded through the Comparative Effectiveness Research initiative that was driven by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality is providing technical support to IHS for this project and issued a Request for Task Order through the ACTION program (Accelerating Change and Transformation in Organizations and Networks) in June 2010. Through a competitive review process, the contract for the project was awarded to Denver Health, a member of the ACTION network. A subsequent sub-contract was awarded to The Centers for American Indian and Alaska Native Health (CAIANH) at the Colorado School of Public Health. Researchers based at the CAIANH will perform the majority of the work on the project.
