Improving Health Care Delivery Data Project


The Program Planning Group meets bi-weekly to oversee project implementation. Members include staff from the Indian Health Service, Denver Health, and the Centers for American Indian and Alaska Native Health.

The Steering Committee meets quarterly to provide guidance on project activities. Members include staff from the IHS Division of Diabetes Treatment and Prevention, Pharmacy Program, Office of Information Technology, and representatives from the IHS Area chief medical officers, Diabetes Tribal Leaders Committee, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Tribal Technical Advisory Group, and a Tribal epidemiology center.

The Health Information Committee will provide guidance on the IHS/ Tribal service systems, data use and interpretation, and the design of Area-specific reports; assistance with scheduling trips to consult with IHS and Tribal representatives in each Area; and consultation on the CER study. This committee will include representatives from each IHS Area in addition to those from the IHS Division of Diabetes Treatment and Prevention, the Pharmacy Program and the Office of Information Technology.
