Ursula Running Bear


Dr. Ursula Running Bear is Sicangu Lakota (Rosebud Sioux Tribe). She is a Research Instructor for the Centers for American Indian and Alaska Native Health, Colorado School of Public Health, University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Her research interests include American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) health with focus on alcohol detoxification and culturally relevant interventions. Her professional experience is based upon work with AI/AN organizations and tribal governments in various capacities ranging from direct services to data collection for the US government, as well as academic research. Dr. Running Bear is committed to fostering partnerships with tribal governments and organizations that focus on developing research that is in the best interests of AI/AN People. Her primary objective is to generating solutions that drive wellness.
