Anna Zamora-Kapoor


Anna Zamora-Kapoor is a Senior Fellow in Psychiatry at the University of Washington and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Initiative for Research and Education to Advance Community Health (IREACH) at Washington State University. She is a scientist committed to health disparities research among young populations that are underserved and exhibit compromised health. Her long-term interest is to identify risk and protective factors for diabetes and obesity in American Indian and Alaska Native youth, and to design interventions for their prevention. During her postdoctoral training at the University of Washington, she has developed expertise in American Indian and Alaska Native health, and health disparities, and completed specialized training in adolescent medicine as a Trainee at the Leadership Education in Adolescent Health program at Seattle Children’s Hospital.
