Current Research Projects:
- American Heart Association: Association of the Lp-PLA2 gene with cardiovascular mortality among Hispanics and Non-Hispanic whites (1/09-1/11, Principal Investigator): This study aims to investigate genetic variability in the Lp-PLA2 gene (PLA2G7) and its association with levels of Lp-PLA2. We will also investigate the genes longitudinal association with cardiovascular mortality.
