Richard Hoffman, MD, MPH

Adjunct Associate Professor

Dr. Richard Hoffman is an Adjunct Associate Professor of CSPH. He served as Colorado Department of Public  Health and Environment's  State Epidemiologist and Chief of Communicable Disease Control from 1986-2001 and its Chief Medical Officer from 1998-2001. He was an EIS Officer with the CDC from 1978-1980 and also worked for CDC as a medical epidemiologist from 1983-1986. He was awarded the University of Colorado's Florence Rena Sabin award in May 2003 in recognition of “his exceptional contributions to the CU-Health Sciences Center and to the health of Coloradans.”
