Welcome to the Department of Biostatistics & Informatics at the Colorado School of Public Health. The Department provides academic, research and service programs in multiple areas including: statistical analysis, informatics and research methodology. Our faculty and students work with research team across the Anschutz Medical Campus, including other researchers in public health, nursing, medicine and the University of Colorado Cancer Center.
Meet the Chair
Dr. Dennis Lezotte has been with the University of Colorado since 1981. He earned his degree at SUNY at Buffalo in 1976 when he completed his doctoral studies in Statistics under the direction of Dr. Willard Clatworthy. Before coming to Colorado, he worked for six years at the University of Florida in the Medical Systems Division of the Department of Pathology. His teaching and research interests are in the area of Health Information Technology and the use of clinical databases and information systems for medical decision support.
