Dr. Grunwald balances his time at the Colorado School of Public Health between teaching, mentoring, administration, statistical methods development, and collaborative research. His statistical methods research is mostly in the area of correlated non-normal data, particularly counts and proportions. Dr. Grunwald’s early work was mainly in time series with later work in longitudinal and clustered data for the same types of outcomes.
His current interests include multilevel and stochastic modeling problems arising from his collaborative work in cardiovascular health outcomes research with the Denver VA.
In addition to teaching, Dr. Grunwald is co-director of the MS and PhD programs in Biostatistics in the Colorado School of Public Health at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.
