Ms. Brown is assisting with the evaluation of the Hospital Smoking Cessation Systems project. She completed BS in Biochemistry at the University of Colorado at Boulder, earned her MS in Epidemiology in August 2012 and is currently a doctoral student in the Epidemiology program at the Colorado School of Public Health (CSPH) with research interests in intentional injury. She is also Student Council President for the 2013-2014 school year and serves on the CSPH Executive Council as the student representative. She has three years of experience in research and public health and also coordinates the Harmonizing Child Injury Research project for the Pediatric Injury Prevention Education and Research (PIPER). Prior to joining CEPEG, she was a research assistant at the Barbara Davis Center studying complications in type 1 diabetes. She has also worked on community needs assessments for the Center for Public Health Practice. In her spare time, she enjoys rock climbing, watching Gordon Ramsey reality shows, and playing with her cat.
