  • Genetic Epidemiology
  • Pediatric Diabetes
  • Cancer Prevention
  • Environmental & Occupational Health
  • Community Development & Urban Planning
  • Gas & Oil Developments
  • Healthcare Policy
  • Nutrition & Obesity
  • Maternal & Child Health

Our faculty’s research efforts inform and enrich the education offered to you at CSPH while providing continued opportunities for collaboration. These efforts by you, your professors and the nation find solutions to the pressing health problems that confront us daily and strengthen health in our communities here in Colorado and across the United States.

One national research example is the National Children’s Study, funded by the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Dana Dabelea, the Study’s principal investigator at CSPH, is looking at the factors that influence the development of autism, cerebral palsy, learning disabilities, birth defects, diabetes, asthma and obesity in children from birth to the age of 21. Visit the National Children's Study website to learn more about this national effort.

Expertise from ten centers

You’ll also benefit from CSPH’s eight school-wide centers and two consulting centers. A number of centers are housed physically in the school's buildings, allowing you to see first-hand everyday research.  Find out more about what our Centers are doing:
