Urban Vibrancy

University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus

Your lifestyle is vibrant

You need a city that does not just have something for everyone. You need a city that has a lot for everyone: A lot to do outdoors, a lot of culture, a lot of diversity and a lot of spirit. At the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus you’ll have the opportunity to live in one of the youngest and healthiest metro areas while studying in new, state-of-the-art academic classrooms.

You’ll have the perfect blend of outdoor adventure and urban sophistication at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.

This is no ordinary city

With Denver's more than 300 days of glorious sunshine each year, it's always a good time to go outdoors for a little fun in the sun—and snow. You can head to the heights of the Rockies for snowboarding, skiing, rafting, camping, you name it. You can also stay within city limits and still find a thrill—hiking, biking, and more. What could be better than living, studying, and having fun in the place the world comes to play?

You can live in Stapleton or Lowry, Denver’s redeveloped urban communities focused on sustainability and smart growth.  Enjoy the close proximity to these communities from both campuses, as well as the neighborhood boutiques, restaurants and bars they offer. If older neighborhoods are more your style, there’s Capitol Hill, Congress Park, Park Hill and Uptown, to name a few. All are less than five miles by bike, bus or car from both campuses.

Cutting-edge Education

The Anschutz Medical Campus is the world's only completely new education, research and patient care facility and the largest academic health center between Chicago, Texas and the West Coast. You’ll have a chance to learn in high-tech classrooms, study in abundant, quite spaces in the new Health Sciences Library and do research alongside other health professionals.

With all that research going on, there are plenty of places for you to grab coffee and find a shady spot to sit under a tree. If you’re looking for recreation, as a student you can join the Anschutz Health and Wellness Center. When you need books, AMC Bookstore supplies all the necessary books and supplies for your courses.
