Your lifestyle is energetic

When you have a couple hours to spare between studying and class, you seek to be within minutes from biking, hiking, fishing, rafting or skiing in the Rocky Mountains.

At Colorado State University (CSU), located in Fort Collins, Colorado, you'll have an ideal location to live and learn - a unique blend of big city advantages and small town friendliness with easy access to the great outdoors.

Views of 14,000-foot peaks

Fort Collins is a city of 134,000 people located 60 miles north of Denver. "The Fort" seems to have something for just about everyone – several shopping malls, hundreds of restaurants, multiple movie complexes, a regional cultural center, natural areas, miles of bike trails, and cozy coffee houses – right here in town.

Checkout historic Old Town Fort Collins for eclectic shops, microbreweries and First Friday art gallery walks. For outdoor enthusiasts all you need to do is drive a short distance and you have the great outdoors at your fingertips. CSU is also less than an hour away from one of the nation’s leading airports – Denver International Airport.

A Campus with space

Colorado State is situated on nearly 5,000 acres of land, including the main campus, a foothills campus, an agricultural campus and a mountain campus. It also has 4,600 acres for research centers, Cooperative Extension offices and Colorado State Forest Service stations.

One of the first things you’ll notice about CSU is that it feels a lot smaller than it is – you’ll run into people you know all the time.  But make no mistake about it: CSU offers the full range of activities and programs you’d expect at a university of 25,000 students. We have more than 150 academic programs in eight schools and colleges, including #2 ranked College of Veterinary Medicine.

You can take your pick from 329 different student clubs and a variety of intramural sports. You can get a full serving of concerts, performances, lectures, movies and NCAA Division I athletic events. Or you can help establish programs and services that respond to the needs of your fellow students.

Wherever you go, you’ll find all kinds of ways to unleash your energy. Whether you’re spearheading campus initiatives, raising money for worthy causes or sampling what CSU has to offer, you’ll meet good people and make great friends.

It’s all part of life at Colorado State.
