Elizabeth Greenwell, ScD

Assistant Professor

Dr. Elizabeth Greenwell, ScD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Community and Behavioral Health at the Colorado School of Public Health, University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. She has worked in the field of Maternal and Child Health (MCH) for over 25 years as a clinician, educator, and researcher and brings MCH expertise and leadership from a wide range of disciplines to her current position. During her doctoral training in perinatal and reproductive epidemiology at Harvard School of Public Health, she was awarded a prestigious Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award from NICHD and worked at the Center for Clinical and Epidemiologic Research at Brigham & Women's Hospital performing pediatric research. After obtaining her doctoral degree, she did her postdoctoral fellowship in neurodevelopmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorders at JFK Partners Center of Excellence in Developmental Disabilities. Her teaching and research interests are focused in the field of MCH (early childhood health and development across the life course, perinatal and reproductive health, health care issues in underserved populations, CYSHCN, health equity, and program planning and evaluation). Dr. Greenwell is the PI on a HRSA MCHB workforce training and development grant serving as both faculty and program evaluator. She directed the online Leadership & Public Health Practice MPH for several years and is currently the Concentration Director of the MCH MPH and GPH+MCH MPH Program at Colorado School of Public Health.
