Current Research
  • National Cancer Institute: SPORE in Lung Cancer - Biostatistics and Informatics Core (Core Co-Director): The major goal of this project is general statistical and computing support for Lung SPORe members.
  • NIDDK: Nutritional Etiology of Prediabetic Autoimmunity (Biostatistician): The major goal of this project is: 1) To identify and prospectively follow a cohort of children aged 0-6 years who are at a 12-40 times increased risk of IDDM compared to the general population. 2) To determine, in this cohort, the age-specific incidence of islet cell autoantibodies (ICA) development, up to age of 8 years. 3) To evaluate, in a nested case-control study (60 cases and 180 controls), whether a picornavirus, or a non-human dietary protein triggers B-Cell autoimmunity.
  • National Cancer Institute: Cancer Center Core Grants - Biostatistics and Bioinformatics Core (Core Director): The major goal of this project is general statistical and computing support for Cancer Center members.
  • NICHD: Exercise, Physical Function, and Parkinson's Disease (Biostatistician): The aim of this project is to compare the effects of three different exercise programs in treating Parkinson's Disease. Outcomes include balance, economy of movements, and functional ability.
