An MPH practicum in LGBT equality

Currently earning a MPH with a concentration in Community Health Education, ColoradoSPH at UNC student, KC Hall, focused her practicum work around healthcare equality in Colorado.

Her practicum included being part of a planning team for One Colorado's annual LGBT Lobby Day at the state capitol last month. More than 250 LGBT community members and their allies gathered in Denver and spent the day meeting with Colorado legislators to discuss relevant health bills and the effect they would have on state residents' health if they passed.

Through the efforts of Hall and the rest of the planning team, nearly all of Colorado was represented at the event, including representatives from 57 house districts and 33 senate districts.
