Campus Life
  • Located in Greeley, the University of Northern Colorado has approximately 12,200 undergraduate and graduate students and offers smaller cohorts and class sizes to foster student/faculty collaborations on a traditional college campus set in a unique urban neighborhood.  

  • The Colorado School of Public Health at UNC has an annual cohort of 30 students who are pursuing their graduate degrees in one of three community health education focused concentrations or a certificate in Public Health Sciences. Our program at UNC offers smaller class sizes and personal faculty relationships including mentoring, advising, and professional networking opportunities.

  • ColoradoSPH at​ UNC offers flexible course scheduling with evening, online, and hybrid options. Thanks to this flexibility, more than 80 percent of our students work full-time or part-time while pursuing their degree at UNC. 

  • Our core courses in our MPH programs at ColoradoSPH at UNC fulfill the requirements needed for our graduates to sit for the Certified Health Education Specialist Exam (CHES)​ from the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC). 

  • ColoradoSPH at UNC offers a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in two concentration areas—Community Health Education and Global Health and Community Health Education—as well as a Certificate in Public Health Sciences. These programs prepare students to work effectively with diverse communities to identify needs and strengths, as well as develop healthy individuals and communities.   • The University of Northern Colorado is recognized by the Carnegie Foundation’s Classification for Community Engagement. This classification reflects an institutional emphasis on community engagement and the immense and varied opportunities students have to apply what is learned in the classroom in the community.

  • Greeley is a friendly and growing community less than an hour’s drive from Denver, firmly rooted in Colorado lifestyle and recreation. With a population of about 100,000 and a vibe that is eclectic and wholly unique, Greeley offers limitless outdoor recreation, art, music and community events, and a range of shopping and restaurants for every interest and appetite. 

  • Downtown Greeley is an urban neighborhood that is a vibrant place to live, work and play. Enjoy a stroll through historic Lincoln Park, browse through world-class museums, and support unique local businesses. 

Outdoor Lifestyle
  • ​Explore the lower Poudre River Trail, 21 miles of well-maintained pathways for walking, cycling, running, roller-blading and more, bike approximately 85 miles of in-town bike lanes,​ and explore the foothills all within a short drive from downtown Greeley.

Programs offered at ColoradoSPH @ UNC

The University of Northern Colorado (UNC) is located in Greeley, Colorado, less than a one-hour drive north of Denver. With a total enrollment of 12,200 students across all programs and schools, it is a campus big enough to offer a plethora of opportunities in a community small enough to make you feel at home.

ColoradoSPH at UNC offers three Masters of Public Health degrees and one certificate program:​

Through our small, personalized classes and our engagement​-focused curriculum, you'll develop the skills needed to engage with local and regional health organizations to develop programs that promote healthy lifestyles for individuals and communities.
