Student Senate
The Student Senate is the student governing body for the University of Colorado Denver Anschutz Medical Campus. The Senate is a vehicle through which the feelings and opinions of the entire student body can be conveyed to the administration (Chancellor/Regents/President), faculty and others. Through past efforts, the Senate has established an excellent working rapport with the administration, and the opportunity for meaningful student input in the modification of policies throughout the Anschutz Medical Campus.
The Graduate Student Council (GSC) represents graduate student interests at the Student Senate, and relays ideas and issues of concern from graduate students to the administration. GSC meetings are also social forums; at meetings, students have the chance to meet people from programs other than their own. The GSC agrees with the University's vision of an interdisciplinary and collaborative environment for research. For this reason, the main goal of the GSC is to increase communication between students, between departments, and between students and the administration.
Alternatives in Science Club
The Alternatives in Science Club facilitates a tight-knit community of scientists interested in the potential of science outside the walls of the university and is dedicated to career development for students, Post-docs, and faculty of the University of Colorado. Everyone is welcome to join.
Additional opportunities for involvement are available on the Campus Life website.
