A highly integrated program created to foster research excellence and training in the characterization of biomolecular structure and mechanisms of molecular interactions.
I chose the Structure Biology and Biochemistry program at CU Anschutz for the supportive faculty, cutting edge instrumentation, and the collaborative environment. Here, I am able to balance my passion of science with my desire to explore the mountains.

Postdoc, Dr. Anna-Lena Steckelberg will be starting her own lab at Columbia University in January; her initial research will be coronavirus work she started over 2 years ago (when nobody cared about coronaviruses)!

SERVICE
Dr. Jeff Kieft and Dr. Olivia Rissland have been serving as scientific advisors for the Make4COVID effort, which supplied tens of thousands of units of PPE all over Colorado.
