Bio
Abél A. Chávez, has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado at Denver, a Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Colorado at Denver, and a M.B.A Executive degree from the University of Houston, Bauer College of Business.
In the past, Abel was a Project Manager and Six Sigma Black Belt for the Dow Chemical Company where he managed a multi-million dollar budget for process improvement projects to reduce plant emissions and wastes.
Abél also volunteers at Colorado MESA (Mathematics, Engineering, Science, Achievement), OWL (Open World Learning) Mentor and Ambassador.
Research
Abél’s specific area of interests includes energy, and its use as people progress economically, and governmental tools to mitigate emissions. He is currently working on quantifying out of boundary emissions in international cities. Cities may include Indian and Mexican cities.
