Hydrologic and Hydraulic Engineering

The faculty in Hydrologic and Hydraulic Engineering are interested in a breadth of water-related research topics: (1) watershed master drainage planning, (2) urban drainage system design and rehabilitation, (3) storm runoff quality and quantity modeling, (4) reservoir operations and water resource planning, (5) flood forecasting and warning systems, (6) low-impact designs and life cycle assessment, (7) laminar and turbulent flow numerical modeling, (8) river morphology and sediment transport, (9) pipe flow network simulation, (10) groundwater modeling and well hydraulics, (11) geographic information systems (GIS), and (12) water system optimization and risk-cost analysis.
