Through community based demonstrations, Assistive Technology Partners provides interactive opportunities to learn about assistive technology devices and applications.
The following opportunities are FREE of charge and open to the public:

include an explanation of the function of the assistive technology devices or software as well as an overview of how it assists a consumer with a disability. The intent is for individuals to have “guided exploration” of a specific device or category of devices that may clarify the advantages that technology can offer. Device Demonstrations are free, but individuals must contact ATP to set up an appointment.
Student Open Houses
are held biannually in an effort to cultivate the interest of college students in assistive technology. The event begins with a half hour broad overview of assistive technology and a discussion of who might benefit from the use of assistive technology. A tour of the clinic follows including specialized device demonstrations and continues interactive discussion on implementation of AT in a variety of settings. Please see our event calendar

Community Open Houses
are open to the larger community including consumers and their family members, advocates, employers, service providers and educators. can frequently be found at public events hosted by other non-profit agencies to assist in educating the community and increasing public awareness about assistive technology. To best meet the specific need of the intended audience, an educational display is staffed by the Assistive Technology Partner’s faculty member who can best speak to the needs and options for this group.
