Brian Burne, MSM, OTR/L, ATP, is a Research Instructor and Assistive Technology Specialist with Assistive Technology Partners in the Department of Bioengineering at the University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus. Mr. Burne earned his Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy at Colorado State University and his Master of Science in Management from Regis University. He is certified as an Assistive Technology Professional through the Rehab Engineering Society of North America (RESNA). Mr. Burne is the former director of OT at Children's Hospital and Craig Hospital, and brings over thirty years of experience in pediatric clinical practice in hospital, school, institutional and home settings. He is currently participating in research on the RERC-ATACI project, which includes usability testing and socially assistive robotics. His clinical practice specializes in early intervention as well as seating and powered mobility for children with complex needs.
