The Department of Bioengineering has strong links with the Department of Surgery at UC-Denver. Several projects are currently underway on new designs for artificial hearts, novel robots for in vivo biomechanical assessment, minimally invasive surgical methods, next-generation methods to diagnose and treat urinary incontinence, and assessment of aortic valve mechanics.
