Translational Bioengineering (focusing on clinical applications)
This area emphasizes clinical applications of bioengineering research with focus on translating engineering concepts into clinically useful tools, diagnostics, treatments, devices, or research methods. Students in this track will have both bioengineering and clinician co-mentors, and will spend substantial research time collecting data in the clinic or engaged in analyzing clinical data or images. This track takes particular advantage of the presence of the School of Medicine at UC-Denver. This specialization is applicable not only to students interested in careers in academic or industry research but also to those interested in careers at regulatory agencies such as the FDA.
